Express Left Turns

The Grant Road Improvement Project will include two intersections featuring express left turns.

This traffic innovation is designed to reduce turning conflicts between vehicles and between vehicles and pedestrians. They smooth out the traffic flow and, by reducing the amount of time vehicles are idling at the intersection, they can improve air quality as well.
