Design Open House
On Wednesday, November 17, 2010 the Grant Road Citizen Task Force and planning team held a Milestone Open House for the residents, businesses and the region to review the progress the Grant Road Improvement Plan has made to date. The Open House included the preliminary design plans for Grant Road from Oracle to Swan and the 60% design plans for the Grant-Oracle intersection, the first Grant Road improvement project scheduled to begin in late 2011. Other project elements presented at the open house included the land use planning schedule and information, streetscape and landscape plans, pedestrian, bicycle and transit features, the indirect left turn simulation and information, the draft public art master plan and the artists selected for the Grant-Oracle project, the reconstruction schedule for Grant Road and the public involvement opportunities to date and how the public can stay involved.
